If you are reading this, it’s likely that you know about the discontinuations of Microsoft’s Streets and Trips and its European counterpart Microsoft Autoroute since December, 2014. While Streets and Trips and Autoroute were at one point unparalleled in the route mapping services they provided, it makes sense they are out of the market now given the strength in functionality of its competitors. It bears repeating that today’s current crop of route planning applications provides better mobility, interoperability, and technical support for those involved in outside sales than these two Microsoft programs.
