If you’re not a fan of using your keyboard often, there’s a way to be able to type without lifting a finger by using your computer’s Voice to Text function. Here’s how:
1. Open a text field. In this example, let’s try entering a meeting note using Badger Maps’ Check-in feature.
2. Access the Voice Typing feature by pressing the Windows key and letter H simultaneously on your keyboard (Win + H).
3. Ideally, you can start dictating right away. If not, click the microphone icon and start talking.
4. To stop voice texting, say Stop Listening or click the microphone icon again. The microphone’s color will turn to white after that to indicate that it has stopped recording. Then click the x icon to close the window.
5. Complete the Check-in process by uploading a Check-in photo (if there’s any) and clicking Create Check-in.
And that’s it! You just learned how to use Windows’ Voice to Text function.
