Typing while on the road can be a hassle especially when you’re driving. Good thing, your Android device has Voice to Text feature that lets you type messages hands-free. Here’s how it works:
1. Open up the app where you want to use the voice texting feature. In this case, let’s enter a Meeting Note using Badger Maps’ Check-in feature.
2. Tap on the area where you will input your text. In this case, it’s the Meeting Notes field.
3. After that, the keyboard will pop-up. Look for the microphone icon, and tap it.
4. Start dictating your message. You should see the microphone icon is in blue when you’re doing this.
5. When you’re done, tap the microphone icon again to stop voice texting. At this point, the color of the microphone icon will be changed to indicate that it has stopped writing.
6. Add a Check-in photo if needed, then tap Save to complete the Check-in entry.
And just that! You’ve learned how to use Android’s Voice to Text feature.
