How to Delete and Reinstall an App?

Android tablet

  1. To reinstall, go to the Google play store to download as normal.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu.  Click “apps” or “application manager” (changes depending on device).  Click on your chosen application, and label “uninstall”.
  3. Using the google play store app: Open the app.  Click “menu” where the three grey arrows are, then click “my apps”.  Click on your chosen application, and click “uninstall”.

Android phone

Same as tablet.

iPad

  1. To reinstall, navigate to the App Store, and click the search icon (second button to the right).  Search for the app you wish to reinstall (like “Badger Maps”), and click the cloud with the arrow icon.  This will reinstall your app, and you will be able to sign in and use as you did before deleted.
  2. Click on this X, and then press “delete” on the pop up box on the left hand side.
  3. Do not open the app with a single tap, but instead click and hold on the app icon until it starts to wiggle.  A small X in a circle will appear at the top left corner.  
  4. Open your iPad, and navigate to the app you would like to delete.

iPhone

  1. To reinstall, navigate to the App Store, and click the search icon (second button to the right).  Search for the app you wish to reinstall (like “Badger Maps”), and click the cloud with the arrow icon.  This will reinstall your app, and you will be able to sign in and use as you did before deleted.
  2. Click on this X, and then press “delete” on the pop up box on the left hand side.
  3. Do not open the app with a single tap, but instead click and hold on the app icon until it starts to wiggle.  A small X in a circle will appear at the top left corner.  
  4. Open your phone, and navigate to the app you would like to delete.

Browser

  1. Scroll down until you see the extension you would like to delete and uninstall, and click on the trash icon to the right of the name.  If you want to keep the extension installed but not active, uncheck the “enabled” box.
  2. To delete an extension, click the three bars to the right of the URL bar, then click “more tools”, then “extensions”.  Alternatively, type in “chrome://extensions/”.
  3. Choose, search, or find the app you would like to add to your Google Chrome.  Click the blue box labelled “Add to Chrome” in the top right corner.
  4. To add an extension, Google “Google Chrome Store” or type in chrome.google.com in the URL bar.
  5. On Google Chrome, you and install and delete “extensions”, such as AdBlock.
