Method 1: Add a Link to your CRM
The easiest and most simple method of accessing your CRM data through Badger Maps is to include the link/URL of the specific webpage of that account from your CRM. If your CRM allows you to export these links, you can add this link to your accounts in Badger Maps and be able to click into your CRM from Badger Maps.
This free method will allow you to change the account’s data within your CRM.
Method 2: Import a CSV/Spreadsheet
This is our recommendation for Individual users or for small teams just starting out with Badger Maps. This way, you or your team will be able to try out Badger Maps as quickly as possible with this easy set-up until you want to engage in higher levels of integration.
You can have all your CRM data in Badger Maps by exporting it into a spreadsheet and importing it into the web app. This means that your Badger Maps account will reflect a snapshot of your CRM at the time of export but changes you make in Badger Maps will not be reflected in your CRM and vice versa.
You can import and export your data from your Badger Maps account (if you can’t, you may be part of a team - speak to your Account Manager about this) at any time to make updates.
This free method ensures that the data you see in your Badger Maps account is up to date based on your timeline.
Method 3: Set Up an Integration Through Zapier
Zapier is an integration tool that connects apps together without involving extra work from your IT department, developers, or engineers. This means that you and your team can have a bidirectional integration between your CRM and Badger Maps without a ton of overhead.
Start today by creating your first Badger Maps zap here.
This is the perfect solution for individuals looking for simple integration between their CRM and Badger Maps.
All you need a Zapier Account and you’ll be able to start building out your integration. To get started, here are some guides that go over how building the integration works. The Zapier support team will also be able to guide you through the entire process is creating your integration with Badger Maps. You can reach their support page here.
We’ll also provide instruction guides that are coming soon.
Zapier is our recommendation for teams that don’t require a heavily customized bi-directional integration.

Depending on the CRM your organization uses (check if your CRM applies here), you can:
- New Accounts created in your CRM can be created in Badger Maps instantly and vice versa
- Updates to accounts in your CRM can update the correct account in Badger Maps instantly and vice versa
- Note: Depending on your CRM, they may not allow updates to Accounts to be sent to other apps yet.
- CRMs that currently allow this are: ZOHO, SugarCRM 7+, Pipedrive, Insightly, Zendesk Sell (Base CRM), Streak, Vtiger, Bullhorn, Close.io, autotask, persistIQ, agendor, Spiro, Nationbuilder, AdviserLogic, Sellsy, essensys, 1CRM, Revamp CRM, Teamwave, Affinity, wintouch, ClientDispute, CapsuleCRM, amoCRM, Connectwise, Daylite, Mercury Connect, Job Nimbus, Lead Squared, Nethunt, WhatConverts
- Check-ins and activity logs made in Badger Maps can be sent to your CRM instantly.
These are just a few core abilities made available through this integration. The Badger team uses Zapier internally to connect a variety of apps and streamline many sales processes - we’re always happy to share!
Method 4: One-way FTP Integration
This is an automated, one-way integration or a FTP integration. This integration will automatically update information in Badger Maps from your CRM on an agreed-upon time frame (for example, updates can be sent daily at 9pm or weekly).
This is a one-way integration, this means that updates or new accounts created in Badger Maps will not be reflected in your CRM.
This method will require a deployment depending on data complexity, how you would like your data to look in Badger Maps and how your CRM is set up.
We recommend this method for teams of 20+ users.
Method 5: Bi-directional Integration
This is a two-way integration that will allow instantaneous updates from your CRM to Badger Maps and vice versa.
The set-up and cost of this integration will depend on the CRM you use, any customizations your organization needs, and the level of integration you require.
We also recommend this integration method of teams of 20+ because of the increased data complexity with more users.
We’re currently working on building more and better integrations for popular CRMs and has connectors of certain popular CRMs already. If you want to talk to a CRM integration specialist and learn more about which method works best for you and your team, please click here to schedule a time.
